CAMPING
INFORMATION
Due to the high demand to camp on-site at the Festival campsites will only be available on a first-come,
first-served basis and it will not be possible to pre-book any sites.
Entry
for campers will be via the Western Gate accessible from
Railway Tce, off Aldinga Road between the hours of 12noon
to 12midnight Friday and 6am to 12noon on Saturday. You
will need to pay your camping fees to the gate attendant
and someone will also guide you to a camping site. Please
be aware that camping space is very limited and you are
asked to camp as close as possible to other campers and
not take up more space than necessary. There should be
enough space between the trees to accommodate two campsites.
Due to the limitations of space the oval surrounds will
be required to accommodate campervans & caravans.
If you only have a tent, please camp on the western end
of the oval itself that has been cordoned off for camping
purposes. There are no powered sites so you will need
to be entirely self-sufficient. Dogs and pets are NOT
permitted in the Festival Arena.
Please follow the directions of the gate attendant as
there is limited space and we are trying to accommodate
the needs of all campers. All tents should be erected
in the space reserved on the oval wherever possible to
allow enough space around the oval for campervans. Space
has been allocated for caravans in the area between the
Young Performers Marquee and Aldinga Road. Please watch
out for pedestrians (especially kids!) and be mindful
of not blocking any access roads.
ACCESS
The entrance gate will be closed to vehicles outside of
the above-mentioned hours. If you need to move your vehicle
in the event of an emergency, please inform a volunteer
at the Festival Information Booth who will arrange for
someone to unlock the gate.
FEES
Camping fees are $5 per person per night. We are unable
to offer any concessions as the Festival is hiring the
facilities for the use of all campers. A cooked breakfast
will be available for campers on Saturday and Sunday mornings
at a cost of $9.00 per person. Toilet and shower facilities
are available at the Football Club western change rooms
at all times and in the Stadium (before 10am only). With
water shortages please use sparingly – take short
showers!
ALCOHOL
Due to licensing regulations no liquor may be brought
into the Festival Site, including the camping area. All
liquor purchased must be consumed within the Festival
Site. The Festival Site is a glass-free zone for the weekend.
Vehicles
Vehicles may be parked around the perimeter of the oval
– not alongside your tent please. Please do not
obstruct the roadways as access by service vehicles is
needed at all times. In the event of an overwhelming demand
for camping space, you may be asked to park your vehicle
(campervans & caravans excepted) outside the festival
site. There is extra parking space in Railway Tce within
easy walking distance in view of the camping area.
The
Festival is being run entirely by a limited number of
volunteers who will be doing their best to look after
you – please be patient with them – and have
a great festival!
