WACKY BAND PLAYOFF

A zany, fun-filled event for the 12-17 year olds:

Got some bits and pieces at home, at school or college that could be glued, screwed, taped or nailed together and transformed into your very own masterpiece? Ask your Music teacher, your Technical Studies teacher, mum, dad, brother, sister, auntie, uncle, granny or grandad to help you make a Wacky instrument then join others – members of your family or friends from school - to form a band.

GEN Y FOLK EVENTS

Early in 2008 an agreement was negotiated with the Artistic Director of the National Folk Festival for a promising young act at the 2008 Fleurieu Folk Festival to be awarded a scholarship to attend masterclasses and perform at youth showcase concerts at the 2009 National Folk Festival in Canberra. We are pleased to announce that the nomination has been awarded to Sarah McGuire.
